Bio
Sarah Ruffing Robbins has published eight academic books and edited an historical novel on its way to adaptation as a feature film. In all her research and teaching, she foregrounds gender while taking an intersectional approach to analysis. Sarah's most recent academic book--Learning Legacies: Archive to Action through Women's Cross-cultural Teaching--blends a cultural rhetoric textual analysis with case studies of projects in the public humanities. She's currently at work on a textbook anthology focused on transatlantic print culture of the long nineteenth century. She has taught in K-12 as well as university settings and remains committed to K-16 and K-20 alliances like those enacted through the National Writing Project, for which she served as a regional site director in northwest Georgia before moving to her current position in Texas. Currently, she's the Lorraine Sherley Professor of English at TCU, where she is also core faculty in Women and Gender Studies and in Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies.
