Session Information
Description: This session explores the topic of decay as a productive tool for reframing questions of genre, methodology, cultural history, and historiography. Speakers offer opening remarks on the relation of decay to life writing, age studies, ecocriticism, the human, and the Anthropocene to spur a collective conversation about the ways that embracing rot might prove an unexpectedly wholesome and generative intellectual practice.
