Session Information
Description: Achy Obejas says of her identity: “I was born in Havana and that single event has pretty much defined the rest of my life. I’m Cuban, Cuban-American, Latina, a Cuban dyke, a Cuban exploring Sephardic roots.” Her novels, short stories, journalism, and translations have made her one of the most accomplished writers today. Panelists make short remarks covering the full range of her work; Obejas responds.
