Persephone Braham teaches Latin American and Caribbean literatures at the University of Delaware. She is the author of From Amazons to Zombies: Monsters in Latin America (Bucknell, 2015) and Crimes Against the State, Crimes Against Persons (Minnesota, 2004), and editor of African Diaspora in the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean (Delaware, 2014). She has published numerous articles on monstrosity, gender, and race in Latin America and the Caribbean.
