Description: The Great Lakes region has always been a site of indigenous productivity, transit, and exchange. Chicago has continued to be a node through which indigenous communities have lived, worked, and brought new texts to life. Panelists discuss the through line of these (ab)original forms, tracing the long arc of indigenous literary production in the Great Lakes region from the past to the present critical moment.
