Description: The Cuban-American writer, journalist, and translator Achy Obejas has won a Pulitzer Prize, the Studs Terkel Prize, and two Lambda Literary Awards and was a finalist for the PEN America Book Award. From her first book, We Came All the Way from Cuba So You Could Dress Like This?, to her recent The Tower of the Antilles, Obejas has made her mark as one of the best Latinx writers today. This session engages Obejas and the audience in a discussion of her work and life.
