Session Information
Description: Panelists explore the intersection between ecocriticism and horror studies, examining human fear of and violence against the nonhuman world in literature, film, and other media. How do ecohorror texts blur human/nonhuman distinctions in order to generate fear, horror, or dread? How are ecohorror texts and tropes used to promote ecological awareness or represent ecological crises? How do they influence environmental rhetoric or action more broadly?
