Session Information
Description: Participants reflect on what it means to be a public intellectual and a medievalist. How must pedagogies devised for the classroom be modified for audiences who do not think of themselves as students? How can scholars blend their own sometimes specialized research with outreach to a broad audience? What are the perils and the payoffs of engaging with those outside academia—for both public intellectuals and their audiences?
