Session Information
Description: The field of digital humanities has been shaped by an obsession for data and computational analysis. Big data summons fantasies about computer thinking, delivering results that wouldn’t have been possible earlier. Obviously—as computers are only programmed—computer thinking is never realized, and we hear yet again about “the digital humanities bust.” This cycle calls for a change of point of view in the way digital humanities are discussed and approached.
