Session Information

Description: The beginning of an academic’s career often coincides with prime fertility and parenting chances. However, due to the vicissitudes of the job market in modern languages, academics who want to be parents wait, sometimes indefinitely. What pressures act on academics as they make their choices involving parenthood? Panelists seek to interrogate the supposed progressive policies and practices of universities and departments around professors who parent.
