Session Information

Description: Panelists examine how the history, literature, and memory of World War II and the Holocaust have been integrated into broader narratives of Spain’s experience as a nonbelligerent and neutral state under Francisco Franco’s dictatorial regime. Drawing on new archival research, literary analysis, and memory studies, panelists reveal how Spain has, and has not, dealt with its encounters with Nazism, fascism, and the Holocaust.
