Description: Historians, literary scholars, and lawyers have all grappled with the problem of anachronism, yet mostly independently of one another. This session brings together panelists working in literary studies, history, and law to address the problems posed by presentism, anachronism, and historicism in contexts ranging from the seventeenth century to today.
